Ever
wonder if there is a good use for your old monitor? I plug mine into my
laptop and use it for browsing the Web while simultaneously working on
the laptop screen in other applications. You'll be amazed at how much
more you get done when you can reference one application on one monitor
and be typing on another. It's not only novel to see the mouse arrow
cruise across two monitors, it's very efficient.
To set up:
plug in your monitor to your laptop, right click your desktop, click
properties, click on the settings tab, click on the square with a "2"
on it, click on "extend my windows desk...", click OK. When you open up
an application you can drag it over to the other monitor. (You have the
option of orienting your screens side by side L/R, R/L, or up and
down.) Go fast, enjoy more!
